The union is a necessary evil. Without we would be far from where we are now. Working much longer hours for less pay and much worse benefits. When someone makes a mistake and Alpa saves their job... worth its weight in gold. Some of those jobs shouldn’t be saved, but many should and most do get saved.

Bottom line is without Alpa and Alpa PAC, we'd be Ryan Air.

Be happy your dues go to something. Without DAlpa, we’d also be at ALV -20%. Right now, just to name 1 biggie...

We’d have been there months ago if the 44 reps had there way. Now they got there guy in the Chairman position.
Not good for us, unless you like rolling over for management for nothing more than an atta-boy.

Those who have seen that can never "unsee" it but we can spare other APC members.

C'mon dude that was nasty - and not nice. Lets channel some positive vibes.
Aw man. I want to know what it was...

Who is it there, doing whatever they’re trying to do to their cause?

Oh... I never alluded to the company sellouts that tend to come from C44. I’m just referring to someone complaining about Alpa in general hoss. The grammar lesson was a bone-us for you.😘

I keep seeing this sentiment posted but the vote was 13-6 or so. Not even close - any other council could have voted for Ryan and it would not have changed anything. I personally thought Ryan was doing a good job, but what do I know? Obviously 13 Reps thought Jason would be better for us. Lets hope they are correct.

All I have to do to is pick up an extra trip to make up for it right?...more time away from my family. The company should pay for this, not the pilot group. I've given plenty over my 20 plus years here. Don't be sore at me for voting no. Look at your company and your "representation".
Your millennial comment really highlights just how out of touch you are. This organization will be so much better when people like you are finally gone.

We all get that stewing in a vat of your own bitterness and anger is a miserable experience, but please don’t try to drag the rest of us in there with you.

imagine your biggest gripe with an LOA being that jr pilots are only taking a 60% pay cut and not a 100% in exchange for numerous other benefits that help pilots on varying seniority levels, and a TLV reduction that would have been impossible to get pre COVID

Your tune will change when your not the beneficiary of the deal. Think the union will be this great thing once senior guys leave. Using that logic, one would think the regionals would be the place to be. Some of us have figured out the long play recently. Let us know when you have.

It's possible we may all be beneficiaries of this deal if traffic comes back quickly and we have enough people to take advantage of it rather than watching other carriers pick it up.
