Default Covid and training

Just curious, is IQ training going on as normal with the covid cases rising?
Thanks

Just finished CQ - mostly normal so far - with the addition of the masks.

I did my last CQ in March at the height and we did not mask. Of course they were still saying then masks don't work. Here we are.

Anyway, Scoop, what are they doing in the box? Masks in the box for training, or off? I guess we still don't have to don the oxygen masks either correct?

I'm heading to VA Ave soon and would like to know what to expect.

TIA.

Almost done with an IQ. Split between Virginia Ave and off site training. All seems normal, just masks are required. We have taken them off in briefing rooms when drinking coffee but other than that, no big deal.

It's a big deal if I can't hear what you are saying. It is a big deal if we can't understand one another in the box with masks on. The airplane I'm on does not have intercom. So being able to clearly and effectively communicate and understand what the other pilot is saying is important.

It's easy to communicate through the mask, just did CQ no worries and no intercom.

The communication problem is real, but they are not requiring them in the sim except for the instructor.. There was a lot of “say it again” last time I was there.

I'll add we were two only somewhat deaf FOs and not fully deaf captains
