More than this are doing exactly that...get back into the category they were bumped out of for better/proper 401k contributions, then re-initiate longer-term MLOA.

If that many go on LOA, what do you think are the odds they start off the street hiring soon or at least bring in those with CJOs?

My guess (worth what you paid for it) is they bring CJOs in to start training in Sep/Oct with interviews at the same time to start new hires by November.

I'd argue its time right now, start monday with newhire interviews. Normally I'm wrong and everything happens 6 months later.

Once converted you will be able to put in a vacation move up bid.

Im not exactly sure how a move up works. If you have an awarded vacation can you move it to any available week?

Well - "available" is the key word. Some/many categories have zero available weeks for the entire upcoming vacation year. But yes - if there is an available week, you can put in a move-up request and it's processed at the beginning of the month, for the remaining months, in seniority order. You can put a request in and leave it.

It used to work better when people had to lose their vacation when they did an AE - then there was a decent amount of churn and you could get something better. Now, since everyone retains their vacation it doesn't happen as much.
