I mean- you definitely want the hard top so when you run in for groceries or the package store no one grabs your charging cable.

Save the soft top for your sports car someday.

Then someone else will name the number of positions. Then someone else will say someone will be a wide body captain that was hired within last 4 years and then tell us this summers weather prediction.

The bid results are still available on Delta net. I posted them here before. More bids than reinstatement’s were awarded.
Currently we have 864 Wide body Captains. (765, A330, A350). At the pre covid peak we had 1100. 251 of that number were on the 777. 1100- 251=850 remaining positions. There are however some VEOP captains not released yet that will create some vacancies plus new airframes. I would not expect large bid on the widebody CA side. Wild guess 100 to 150. Really depends on how many remaining VEOP pilots.

Edit: A quick look shows there are more VEOP pilots leaving next fall than I expected. Maybe see 200 positions on this bid.

Be as it may, we’re still 60/40 split between FOs and CAs. So maybe fewer WB positions yes (I’ll take your argument), but nothing south of 800-1000 Captain positions overall.
