the only thing correct about this is instructors are having to be taken off for covid. We are working less now than we were in the summer, far less. At least on the ER, SLIs have always done the 200s, so that's nothing new. There is also no such thing as instructor premium pay.

Maybe it's different on your fleet but on the 73 the instructors are singing a different tune. It was a DPS guy that mentioned the premium pay/ time and half opentime so they might be on a different pay structure.

NSLI job posting hit yesterday or the day before. You know, if the VEOPs miss the place.

Good amount of retirees working at DPS. Great instructors that still have a passion for the job.

If anyone has good corporate travel data, it's Delta Management. Very encouraging news

Maximum training throughput will be dictated by whatever is the limiting constraint. It could be simulator slots, simulator IPs but what if its IOE? Consequently if IOE is indeed the limiting constraint, excess simulator capacity really does not help much. How is the current LCA manning? Did we lose a bunch with the VEOPs?

Scoop
Line Check manning is good. Per an update from VP of Training and Standards BS a lil while back rebutting the former MEC Chair's claim that the LCP ranks were significantly reduced, he stated the fleet with the biggest OE concerns is the ER due to issues completing TOEs due to lack of destinations from COVID reductions.

Thus, the rumor about making the ER (757/767-300) a domestic fleet.
