And not one displacement. They actually awarded 36 SEA 7ER B's as contingent vacancies.

1. Reserve positions (potentially for a long time)

2. Pay (737-900 and 321 pay similar with much quicker route to a line)

3. HCOL Bases (NYC/LAX/SEA)

IMO these are minor inconveniences to being Captain on a 757 or 767. Especially if you get a trip across the pond. Many of the awardees are under 40.

there's a summary up on Deltanet with a chart of unbid spots. Although guessing some came from other bids because I had LAX320 over 7ER and there were no LAX320 B's awarded, yet 4 shot open for new hires
