So is the A220 coming to the ATL???

They also tend to use it or the 175 on "tech" routes as well, I assume since it's the nicest, newest product. SFO-SEA, LGA-DFW, etc etc. ATL might have some of those, but probably not the same as SEA does.

I think it will be based in ATL eventually. Hopefully they've deemphasised the knee jerk moves to open new categories way too soon trying to save operationally tiny amounts of hotel and DH costs only to quickly realize they need to dislocate the knee the other way and close it.

I think wnen/if things get back to "normal" in terms of demand (which could happen a lot sooner than 2019 numbers due to the massive fleet and pilot reductions) a BOS base will be back on the front burner.
DL has been doing more than enough narrow body flying in BOS to justify a base, but marketing can't resist making every flight on a different plane from a different base so it makes it hard to pick one. With the loss of the 88/90 fleets and the 717 being a short timer (and the 220 being much more niche/mission specific than any of the others) a BOS base will make sense again soon IMO.
