Default Scheduling question

On short call this evening (in 3 day bucket) and have a 2 day trip already assigned for tomorrow. A two day Green Slip was assigned during my short call period which I am legal for. Shouldn’t I have been assigned this trip? I’m the only pilot on SC this evening.

If it was a violation of the PWA what is the remedy?

Did you have a yellow slip in? Maybe since you already have a trip assigned tomorrow they elected to keep you on that. Prob would’ve had to give a greenslip to cover that one if they gave you tonight’s trip.

Once the trip was placed on the schedule you were not available for the trip. You would not even show up in the trip coverage.

Not a green slip for me. Just normal RSV coverage for me. They could always remove tomorrow’s trip and give me this evenings trip. Otherwise why would I need to be available for SC this evening?? Trip was assigned 6 hours in the future and smack in the middle of my 9 hour SC availability window. I would have rather had this evenings trip. Yellow slip is n/a because I already have a trip for tomorrow during my SC period today.

So if I should have gotten this trip, is there a remedy if scheduling assigned out of order??

thanks to all for the timely responses.

You were not eligible for the trip. Same and next day coverage is assigned as the trips become known. If both trips were in open time at the same time you could make the case if you had a yellow high in that the award should have gone to you.

What needs to be remedied? You already had a trip assigned, and then they covered another trip with a GS. You get a SC credit, fly a trip, and someone gets a green slip. Who has been harmed?
