The airline may seem like the big D up until you have to take everything and divide by 2.

I don’t know. I think it’s debatable. I’m home 17 days this month. Based on the number of hours my kids are awake and I can actually spend time with them, I estimate 9 full days at home versus 8 full days for the 8-5. Granted there are A LOT of variables (I used 8 am -9 pm x 17 days versus the office workers weekends and nights after work.) We also get QUALITY time home. We don’t answer calls, have Zoom meetings etc. For example, my neighbor went on a beach vacay with his family and proceeded to spend it on Zoom meetings away from his fam.

Makes an excellent argument that email, zoom, even texting has been a massive step BACKWARDS in business productivity, not to mention making us all miserable. (FYI, CC, BCC for the ultimate boss, attached files, everyone (!) now equally in the "team", endless prompts for more info, nonstop CYA, timid and guarded communications, etc.)
100% grateful that this job requires an absolute minimum of electronic communications. Big reason why I was utterly disappointed with the Faux Facebook Clone Big D went with...it's not just obnoxious, it's insanely inefficient.
