You can access the self-service portal from there. Congrats and thanks for helping out the younger folks... from another VEOP'er. |

I'm still a normal day to day employee and have no idea why I have to do these things often before I can accomplish basic, every day tasks like list for a commute, check in for a DH, bid, access icrew... But for what it's worth from a young buck, you VEOPers have my humblest thanks. |

Your access to the "normal" deltanet site was (or should have been) revoked the day you separated. There is a different site for retirees - deltanet.delta.com

Yep I took the early out, last day was 10/31/2020. On 11/01/2020 no longer was allowed into regular "Delta Net" .

Congrats Turbo, enjoy your retirement!

As one of the UNA's, thank you for taking the retirement. I'm thankful for the sacrifices you all made. It's going to be hard to go back to work, all this time off has been truly exceptional.
Enjoy your retirement! |

There are plenty of BS free options at destinations in FL and TX. Just suffer through the mask in transit. The level of openness varies by county, city and sometimes individual businesses.

Drive the ALCAN
When Canada opens up, you’ve got to drive the ALCAN, at least one direction, from the Lower 48 through BC and Yukon all the way to Anchorage and/or Fairbanks, or back the other way.
Some people rent rigs and drive one way and either fly or cruise the other. Get The Milepost. I see it’s still in print, but I bet they have an electronic version that would work with a phone or tablet. It’s a running list of things to see along the way. Fascinating details and history of stuff along the way. https://themilepost.com/ You'll end up staying in the same campgrounds as a lot of other people you’ll start to recognize and make friends. Make a summer of it. Drive up and spend time exploring with your rig. You will not regret it. To paraphrase a quote from a writer I can’t remember, if you’re old, go see Alaska now. If you’re young, see the rest of the world first and save the best for last. I’d wager you’re in the former group! Go do it! |

I may go next summer, whether or not I retire... I figure I just need to string about 60 days together, if I can pre position my rig in Seattle at my kids place, then jump into the journey from there. I was going this year, but the Canadians have trashed my plan this year. I’m still considering flying up to anchorage and renting a class C for two weeks. Two weeks with mileage and insurance is about $4500, but it saves about 9000 road miles from and to ATL, which translates to about $3000 in fuel alone. Renting a RV isn’t that bad, especially if you are time limited. But driving The ALCAN is on my bucket list. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |
Be sure to have windshield insurance

I always thought it'd be super cool to drive from Key West all the way to Alaska. Or even push it further and drive from the southern tip of Argentina all the way to the northern tip of Alaska...but I think there's a stretch in Central America that's unpassable? |

Not going to derail this thread...look for a new one about this stuff. :) |
Enjoy
Been out 6 months now I miss the left seat on big sexy (A-350). However have always enjoyed cross country motorcycling , doing much more of that now. Also now building my RV-14 wonder how I had time to work. Enjoy the retirement you earned it.
