Guys,

There is no permanent "Magic category" of milk and honey. There are awesome good deals but they are fleeting and ephemeral. Remember when 717B guys were getting GSWC right out of new hire? How about the 7 figure club on the 350A?

As was mentioned WB B can be a great place - if you work out the sleep aspect without inflicting permanent damage to yourself. The number of studies that are reporting some of the affects of prolonged sub-optimal sleep are eye watering. Not that NB A doesn't have some pretty brutal late night side of morning get-ups that are just heinous also. I should know, for some reason I seem to never figure this out when bidding and then when actually on the trip - I am like WTF was I thinking!!

The bottom line is that one is not categorical better than the other. But for each individual there is probably one that is indeed better - you just have to figure out what works for you.

Soliciting input from other Pilots is indeed a good start jut remember everyone is different.

Archived bid packages are kept on the ALPA Scheduling page

WB B is way easier work than NB A. Depending on seniority, the money can be as good or better for the same number of days worked if you know how to manage your schedule. I'm seriously considering bidding A350B because of how junior it went and NB A is getting to be a PITA.

Probably whether they live at home or out of the house. Whether they're at the age where they play sports and need you home on the weekends to watch them/coach them etc.

I am guessing that younger kids benefit from the pilot spending more time at home vs the $$.

As a WB B you’ll have more time at home for any age kids. Working 12-13 days a month was normal.
