Who's getting the shot on their day off? Doing it over trips pays more.

Just wondering if the company's predicted two-three weeks has been holding true? Is there a way to verify that my upload was successful? I just pushed "send" and the response seemed affirmative, but I don't recall seeing anything that appeared to be a confirmation. Thanks!

For me, it showed up on the month that I got the shot, not the current month. So if you got it in April, check your April time card. If you got one shot in March and the second in April, check March too. Like the other poster said, it says COVV.

For those who got the shot on a day off (or while NQAT) Have people been getting the pay on the 15th paycheck (when all the previous month’s pay is reconciled) or just whatever paycheck happens next after it processed?

tia

Pretty sure it's on the 15th, assuming you broke minimum guarantee.

No special bracket for it. It's just 5:15 of flight pay.(*)

(* plus unknown long term health benefits/detriments. TBD)

thanks. I’m NQAT so I’ll expect it next month.

How to not get paid, as demonstrated by me

Does it? Because I have established that doing them on work days can pay about zero!

Here's my experience: I retroactively put in the online immunization form in April for shots received in February. That month was one of two purpose-bid reserve months in my entire career, reminding me that reserve sucks if you are not up to speed on the various manipulation techniques.

Between a stint in ATL for a recency sim and the 2X Phizer COVID vaccinations, I anticipated some pay beyond reserve guarantee. As far as I can tell, the "bonus" amounts that might have given me more bacon to take home simply were absorbed by payroll magic; it seems the extras more or less just reduced the Reserve Guarantee number.

Forgive my lack of expertise on matters of payroll and reserve, but I won't break everything down in minute detail since I feel ill-equipped to do so. But at the end of the day I received a month of reserve pay for a schedule that included one flown pairing worth 28:47, a day trip worth 9:36, 1:00 of Short Call pay, 12:00 of training pay and what I thought would have been 10:30 of CVV pay. To explain a bit further, my first CV shot occurred on the final day of a reserve-assigned SYD pairing, nearly 15 hrs. of credit for that leg alone, due to the long flight home. I stopped at the immunization clinic driving home from the airport. One could argue the timespan from departing SYD until getting poked was over a two-day period, given the International Dateline, however all this activity occurred on one calendar day. In any event, by my pilot math this should have been worth over 20 hours in one day. Who's ever heard of that? Evidently it's not "a thing," since it's not reflected in my pay. That was immunization number one.

The final CV shot was taken on a reserve day while I sat at home - no flying on that day or adjacent reserve days. My three day training event lay entirely on reserve days.

In the big picture, the pay potential from COVID shots was just an unexpected bennie when announced, but my anticipation was high from the time of getting the shots until filing the documentation. It's a non-PWA benefit, so I guess nothing is guaranteed. Nonetheless, I still feel kinda ripped off.

In the past four years, my time has been equally split between 7ER/A and 350/B. Looking at the most simplistic form of pay reconciliation (My PAS), the COVV vaccination month is my worst month in four years. My biggest single month was in the left seat, but the running 12 month averages are greater as a widebody F/O, even with minimal greenslip activity. Having February of this year be a record low is rather disappointing and I'm sort of dumbfounded.

Hope you don't suffer from Prion malady 5 years from now buck. Maybe the 32K will make it better for you.

What is your source on this 40-50% A quick Google search says this is from remarks in early June saying they thought "about 60%" have been vaccinated Since CDC/FDA employees are not required to disclose this information they do not know the status of percentage of employees vaccinated.

Also do a quick search for the court case regarding Houston Methodist and mandatory vaccination for continued employment. Could have implications for many people.

It's not worth it. If the number was 99%, they would say they are part of the government machine swamp and want us all to turn into virus Zombies. Then they will search for another buried nugget from some med school dropout or find the one doctor trying to get followers for his medical conspiracy patreon who says the virus is deadlier than eating a bag of knives.
