I’m a mil guy with low time, 1900 hrs, anyone know of others who have gotten a call being low time?

All mil time is not created equal.

1900 F-16 hours ≠ 1900 C-130 hours ≠ 1900 KC-135 hours

Yeah, what'd you fly? Plenty of fighter guys who got hired with <2,000 total hours (but all >1,000 TPIC).

Not always true. Bottom line, throw the app in and see what happens.

Interesting. You’re right, I guess it never hurts to try.

Although I’m not sure how a single seat guy would have less than 1k TPIC but still have an unrestricted ATP? (Unless we’re not talking about going straight from AD to DAL).

I think he was referring more to the 1000 PIC in general. Many guys have been hired recently without that.

Valid, I guess I didn't frame it in the context of an AD guy. Decent amount of Gaurd fighter guys with unrestricted ATPs but less than 1000 TPIC. Either way, my point was that one should throw the app in as soon as they meet the actual mins...you never know.

Pilot Selection gets their numbers from crew resources who gets them from network…the number has nothing to do with flt ops management or training. Crew Resources is the lead in all things pilot hiring, training may have an idea just due to the fact that CR needs to know how many they can put through…but if you hear a number from someone else it’s probably severely inaccurate…I have a few friends in PS, they all had to sign NDAs on this stuff so whatever you’re hearing is rumor, I don’t know the number but they’ve told me it’s not this high for now to 2023 (but things can change as apparently they have many times) “even if it’s men on the 4th floor whispering
