Previous contract we could "verify" sick leave anytime we went to the doctor with a form that went to CP office. That kept unverified sick leave for later occasions.

Once I went into doc to get vasectomy on days off and had follow up three days later. Little redness where stitch was so doc said need another two days off work. I filled out a verified form stating medical procedure and he signed it. Sent it into CP's office, which was subsequently denied due to vagueness.

I went by docs office a few days later and we had a chuckle as he layed out the procedure in as much medical jargon that he could generate for a vasectomy and stitch removal, (reading it you'd thought I'd had open heart surgery).

I sent new form in with this detail and put on the email if rejected again, they'd be getttng a close up picture of my ball sack (to document the procedure) in their email. It was approved.

Next time in CP's office I inquired about the email exchange, and they said that was an intern's job and they had instructions to kick back any nonspecific verifications.

Question on dropping reserve days. How late can you wait to drop a reserve day? Is it the 0700 PCS run on the day prior? Thank!

No, it’s earlier. I think the 3rd day prior, but will have to double check if someone doesn’t weigh in sooner.

Edit. I take it back. Been awhile (think I was remembering x-day moves?). Yes you can. 23.I.1

This is the other guy. Its me. He bent this.

Ate it hard on a small jump at the national championship for my class, it's never the big hits.

The third photo, I got up and finished the race in 4th after eating it 4th gear wide open on a 100 foot triple jump.

20 foot double in second gear and land it but slide out braking for the next corner? Surgery.

See above. Posting on phone jacked up the quote.

I have 8 days of reserve coming up. When does scheduling usually schedule your 30hrs of rest? Thanks!

It varies. I usually get it when I can't be logically used for any further flying but not always. If you have say, one random Xday between two blocks that are more than 6 total, they will most usually put you into rest mid-day on the day prior, so you are 30 hour reset before the next block. Gets weird when you have CQ scheduled.

If there is a time least convenient for your plans to be given the 30 hour rest, it will be then. When I was an ER FO, I often got assigned trips with 30 hour layovers, like GRU, DSS, ACC or some SFO/LAX ones.

Depends...Here are a few example of how it has happened to me in the past:

A) assigned 30 hrs of rest on day 7

2) assigned 30hrs of rest on day 2, making sure I was available for days 7 and 8, which happened to fall over a holiday.

D) went the entire 14+ day block of RES and never go put into 30hrs of rest

May the odds be ever in your favor!
