Doubtful for most. If they bid to the 330 or 350 it’s probably their last aircraft and they can care less about a freeze. If they are younger not many senior pilots want to train on another aircraft in under two years.

Only the top 21 SEA7ERAs can hold 330A or 350A. The other 72% if they AE’d would only be a lateral (or cut) move on pay. Why take a freeze if there’s a chance some more 330 or 350 slots become open down the road.

In the immortal words of Val Kilmer playing Doc Holliday, “ I beg to differ Sir.” Let’s just suppose all trips clock in at exactly a 8.0 on the Suckiness Universal Coefficient Key. (SUCK). Well if all the trips have an equal SUCK score then days off, holidays etc become that much more important. Seniority would be more important.
Sooner or later even the Monopoly guy with the monocle will stop flying greens and either through fatigue or the Brewster millions dilemma stop flying extra. I foresee an epic operational breakdown in the not to distant future.
Scoop.

Anyone else get an award outside the parameters they bid? Pretty sure I’ll miss my “low number” bid by 2 but still got the award. Small window, I know, but I thought the low number condition was pretty foolproof.

I think those numbers are based on projected category status when everybody is trained. Not just for this particular bid. IN other words, there could be guys in the pipeline that aren't showing up in the numbers yet. Just a guess.... I don't know for sure, but it seems like I have heard that before.

I knew about that, that’s why I used the low number vs percent. But they definitely did not have unfilled vacancies.
