They are squeezing to eliminate credit based off of our CURRENT rigs and ADG. Better rigs and a 6 hour min day would just make them squeeze harder. The idea that they are already squeezing as hard as they can is total bunk. Things can absolutely get worse. This will backfire on us big time if the proper controls are not in place to keep them from doing it.

Things I would like to see
Rotation construction:
-5:30 ADG
-3:30 min day
-leg 3 for the day adds 1hr of pay
-leg 4 for the day adds 2hrs of pay (over leg 3 pay)
-All sits over 2 hours pay 1:1
-min layover 12hrs

Re route:
-EVERY flight not on your original pairing is paid above the original pairing.

-All redeyes pay double
-All rotations that touch a forced coverage (holiday) pay 200%
-All sign in's before 7am base time are limited to 8 hours duty (domestic)

Just to name a few... Haven't been SR enough to add international stuff yet maybe once I can hold 330B (outside of NYC) when I hit year 8 I'll have some more ideas. Lol

Agreed.

Sit rigs have already been brought up, but what about a penalty for short layovers. Let’s charge them for what makes our trips harder. Long days and short nights fatigue us, and they clearly don’t care so make it expensive. They remove the credit that avoids fatigued pilots, they pay the credit for stuff that causes fatigue.

We have very different opinions and that’s ok. 117 limits duty day and we don’t have to extend so I’m already counting on 12 hour days. Tell me how it gets worse? I do think if we quit focusing on block and credit, and said pay me when Delta requires me to do something or be somewhere this is all moo. TAFB is the real measure of my time consumed by mom D.

Most folks I talk to don’t like long sits, and that to me is where we can improve qol. Min Day could have a lot of unintended consequences. Rigs to pay for extended sits seem quite a bit less volatile.

Perhaps sits of 2-3 hours pay an extra hour. Over 3 hours, pay an extra two hours. Domestic layovers over 20 hours pay 15 minutes for every hour over 20. International layovers over 48 hours pay 15 minutes for every hour over 48.

I like your ideas…especially since reserves got weekend coverage awards in January in some categories. In.January. Summer is going to be something else.

Hold on. Your argument is, "you can have PS to work but we are going to make all trips not commutable?" Lol man.

Disagree with the long layovers getting you more pay. Seems like a reason to completely eliminate them

Layover penalty. 13 hour baseline layover. 13-X=X hours pay.

Or X*5 hours pay, I can negotiate.

This I can get behind. Make short layovers cost them more.
