2 day out coverage killing GS opportunities is a red herring.
We still haven’t reached 2019 levels of flying, and the seniority list is 3,000+ larger. That’s what has lowered the # of GS. I’d rather have reserve coverage What the GS all day every day crowd doesn't get is that their ability to do that to that extent is dependant on many other pilots getting hammered constantly to create the conditions for them to have that entitlement level opportunity with that frequency. Its great to hustle and good for the few among us who can work half as hard for 2-4X the pay but that is never a right and no one in their right mind in this profession should ever budget for it. |

People may have gotten rerouted more, but with the new rules guys seems to get excited over a reroute. I've haven't seen reserves get pummeled as much as they have as of late. Made worse by the fact that they're often flying crappy bid packet trips, rather than much better broken up trips. I've not see so many full bid packet trips being awarded to reserves, nor have a I seen this effecient of use of reserves. Add in that staffing has gone to crap, I'm seeing more senior guys moving away from reserve in my cateogry (myself included), which generally isn't a good thing for junior pilots, especially commuters...even local guys like flying commutable trips. On the upside, the 18 hr callout is good for the junior commuters who will be stuck on reserve longer.

I don't know anyone who plays the game, that actually budgets off of it. For many, it was more about flying better 0xxx trips (biggest plus for me) and effeciency of TAFB. As said before, not the end of the world, just requires a shift to a new gameplan. If they'd just figure out how to use Silver slips more, I'd be all set lol. |
Weren’t the latest MiCrew issues caused by adding the ability to call in well via MiCrew? I can’t seem to figure out how to do it

Click a day of the trip you called out sick on. Then go to the bottom and swipe on the trip to the side. You'll see a call in well button.
