That means if someone was rerouted into that open time, it was an illegal reroute (a lot of extra pay) and someone would be pay protected as well. Correct?
Well...we're already at over 60 cancellations for tomorrow so...

Yes I am referring to last night and this morning. I'm betting a lot of illegal reroutes were given out systemwide today.

Somebody jacked up the 737/320 scheduling/staffing of FOs on weekends. Surprisingly, I haven't seen too much effort from the company to utilize GSWC.

I think the decrease in 737 correlates with the increase in OT on the ER…..

I think what has been shown is that scheduling and tracking don’t know how to use GSWC. Running coverage through GS and up to IA takes so much time/effort/institutional knowledge that they just throw their hands up. If they can’t get IAs right (23.M debacle) then they certainly won’t get GSWC right.

I find it ironic that they pushed so hard for ARCOS for efficiency, but it seems that at the end of the day that is a handcuff. What they need is more people that know what they’re doing to cover trips quickly and efficiently.

Yes. When they run batches of 5 on short notice greenslips it doesn't work well. I see trips push late sometimes because it takes so long to get a pilot assigned to a trip. Also, if they don't try an IA to cover a trip known about more than 14 hours out, then they reroute someone into that opentime, it's an illegal reroute. Everyone getting rerouted needs to watch this close.

If you are being rerouted how can you tell if the trip had been in OT or not unless you are constantly monitoring it?

“Pilot history” in open time section of iCrew will tell you when the trip was created/ became open.

I will say, the LOA that lowered the batch sizes probably has something to do with this. It takes a really long time to get through those steps, so by the time they get through the GS and IA, it may be too late to GSWC to work and they have to cancel. Just throwing that out there, thoughts?
