June Schedules
#72
As an FYI for outsiders looking in, my June schedule is amazing. Easy trips, weekends off, and my longest day is two legs. Detroit 320. I don’t understand how people are still complaining (at least for my category). How much more can we ask for? I am not that senior either. Do people just not know how to bid? Serious post. I don’t understand how these trips could get any easier. Also, the 350 went somewhat junior so clearly NB pilots don’t care that much about the trips. Food for thought for new pilots who are nervous about the trips here like I was!

ATL7ER took the big hit to schedules since the improvement of other fleets since the company announced the changes last month. Worst schedules I've seen on that fleet.

Email the Fatigue Risk department at Alpa. I have brought a couple rotations to their attention that I felt were fatiguing and why. If they agree with you they can submit to the company to change before the trip starts. Both times agreed with me, sent to company, and they modified the trip to address the concern. They were both crazy hour charter flights that obviously had not been vetted by a person. I was impressed it actually worked.

Bid DTW 320 then. Let NYC320 go to new hires, then after a couple months, they can bid DTW too. Bid the 350, went pretty junior. Bid a different plane. Lots of options. You know how to bid a new category? I can post step-by-step instructions if you’d like!

stuck there for 4 years in NYC, little things like pandemic prevented moving. DTW may be good now, but that can change in an instant. If scheduling thinks DTW is under utilized it won't be long and they'll fix it for you!
