Same issue here. I'm thinking a Google update must have disabled the ability to copy a shared/automated calendar to a personal calendar. I've figured out how to essentially get the same result, just with an extra step and a delay in the sync. What I did was subscribe my Google calendar to the Apple calendar on my iPad (I don't use that calendar at all, other than for this). So now when I want to copy my schedule I do the calendar sync on Micrew on the iPad. This syncs your schedule to the Apple calendar, which the Google calendar then fetches and updates. You can then copy the calendar over just like before. Unfortunately there's no way to set the fetch schedule for Google to get the calendar. It just does it when it does it, so you'll have to wait a few hours or maybe overnight and then it will have magically shown up.

I'm in a similar'ish boat I think. Apple/Google Calendar user.
-I sync the schedule inside the MiCrew app. It auto populates my MiCrew sked into ICal on my Iphone. My schedule then also auto transfers into my Google Cal, which is nice and all. But my wife cannot see it on her Google Cal even though we are all shared/synced both ways with each other. What gives? I can't find any other box to check. |

How do you "subscribe my Google calendar to the Apple calendar on my iPad"? Thanks
1) In your Apple calendar, hit the "i" next to the MiCrew calendar on the left side. Toggle Public Calendar on. Hit Share Link and email to yourself. 2) In the desktop version of your Google calendar, open Settings-->Add Calendar-->From URL, copy and paste the URL into the box and you should be set. This adds a calendar and now you can copy events to your family calendar just like before. Like I said above, Google only grabs the data from your Apple calendar at whatever interval it feels like, so you'll have to be patient until it syncs. I've researched online and I'm pretty confident there's no way to change or even see what the update interval is. I don't think it's ever taken longer than a day. Usually the next morning it's updated. I can't remember where, but there's a setting you can select in Google calendar so that it emails you when it pulls in new events, too, so you don't have to keep checking. |
....
I'm not 100%, but may have found a way to link MiCrew all the way to a Google calendar via apple ICal.......
A tech buddy had me log into Icloud.com. After logging in, click on Calendar. Then on the left side bar, I saw where MiCrew is listed. Theres a little Wifi-symbol looking icon next to MiCrew. Clicked on that symbol, it then has a pop-up indicating if I want to make MiCrew public or private for viewing. I put wifes email in the private section and fired her off a link to essentially join my MiCrew. (All this I am doing from my desktop IMac if that matters) Again not 100% if this works, she's still at work as of me typing this. Fingers crossed that was the missing link to make it all sync up and be viewed by both parties. |
It worked

So follow up to my post above, those steps did in fact work and wife says she can now see the stuff from MiCrew that auto-sync'd over to her google calendar. Nice. One less thing to have to hand jam in there now is nice.

Seriously! What's wrong with "I'm leaving Monday morning early, be back Thursday for dinner. Love ya! Adios!"
