In every interaction I’ve had with DH he has been on the companies side of everything. Going as far when I was a new hire here years ago, when he was the C20 rep of explaining TVM to me. He was dead inside because TA1 had failed.

Here we are.

He was a TA1 supporter? I don’t know the guy, but considering that would make him more pro-company even than sailing, I’m not getting the warm fuzzies.

So are we losing the green lanyards and going back to wearing hats?

I'm never wearing a hat, a coat or a lanyard ever again.

you should not get any ‘warm fuzzies’ about this guy…when his name popped up, I said “Anybody else…please…”. Be prepared to be underwhelmed and a probable recall…

Yes, starting tomorrow you have to wear the approved Flight Operations lanyard, plus your uniform hat. There will be a memo posted to DeltaNet tonight.

Not sure why my post went twice. And one is only half of it. Mods can delete the one that is partial…. At any rate, read the responses on this thread. I’m not the only one, and I am not crazy. I just want the policy to change. 15,000 of us should be able to vote for who runs our MEC. Just like we do with everything else.

Especially since all 8 of you on APC, out of the 15,000, are all in agreement. If all pilots were allowed to vote, the 15% who returned a ballot would have a say. The vast majority( the other 85%) would feel they had their input when they elected their rep and just don't GAS. JMHO

In my opinion all 9 reps who voted for Hartmann deserve to be recalled. This is a huge step backwards, yet again, for ALPA. Expect a substandard TA in the near future.
I don't know why this is a concern. The PM was changed under the Bartels Admin weakening the MEC Chair. The MEC, not the MEC Chair, sends direction to the NC. MEC Chair these days is simply administrative
