They’ve been pretty consistent about the 330 base opening next year, even before BOS320. So it’s really becoming a matter of when and not if. You can listen to them discuss more about the strategy of how big it will be on open vs growth in the SLC base meeting and timeframes of which AE they are thinking.

Based on this analysis below, I'd say it's a fairly senior base.
Seniority as ranked by the junior Captain seniority number in SLC categories compared to other bases with the same aircraft*:
737:
MSP 9328
LAX 9820
SLC 10051
SEA 10374
ATL 11321
DTW 11509
NYC 12448
320:
MSP 8787
SLC 9772
ATL 10282
LAX 10295
DTW 10607
NYC 11525
SEA 11618
220:
SLC 10614
SEA 10974
NYC 12218
*Does not include any outstanding AE/MD/VD awards

At the NYF town hall, BS was asked about new categories and his answer was (paraphrasing) “the next 3 bases are SEA320, BOS320, then SLC330”

I’m talking about communications in the last 6 months. Which have all been consistently A2 2023 and BOS after the summer. It’s in all of the town halls and base meetings and latest AE comms…
Me saying consistent is that the communication told to us has stayed consistent about the timing since it was announced they plan on Q2 a couple AE’s ago. Whether or not that is reality is a different question
