Using a ship headset is more gross than licking the lav floor. Buy yourself a professional tool instead of eating the phlegm of hundreds of coworkers.

Why buy a zipper tie when you can just leave the knot in a regular tie for the duration of its life?

this x 1000. Your day 1 pay will start an over 8k/ month with this new TA, do yourself a favor and get a good ANR headset.

A selfie wearing the ship headset is approved documentation for GFB sick calls.

The one sided DC headsets are so uncomfortable and heavy I can’t do them unless I have to. Also, depending on fleet/destinations, a good headset so you can hear the foreign accented controller is very helpful. I’ve been rolling Bose QC15s for over 12 years, the new ones are even better. If I bought a new pair, on the 7ER, I’d probably get Telex 850s.

On the massive pay cut, if this contract is approved (find out in less than a week), new hire pay is around $9K a month and Delta pays for your uniforms and lodging during training. So not “massive” anymore unless you are super senior and somehow are coming over without a retirement.

I must be in the minority on this one. If a tree falls and no one sees it does it make a sound? If everyone buys their own headsets are the ship sets that dirty? I’m going on a year flying here with ship sets and only called in “sick” once. Maybe I’m just cheap AF.
