Pilots who can’t hold their tongue and keep their flight decks professional are causing disruptions (mid-rotation call offs from trips by victims) to our operation on a scale so large the MEC just put out an email on the subject.

I‘m not part of the problem, because I’ve never had an FO bail on me. But those of you who are screwing around, wrap that sh*t up! You’re effecting what I’ll be getting in my profit sharing check!

Wait, is this why I always get multiple captains per trip?

JFC, can we just go back to talking cars, boats, motorcycles, guns, woodworking etc. above 10k again? Enough of the contract and politics!

It all started when our company (EB) waded into politics. It got everyone riled up and now everyone thinks it’s fair game. As a captain, I keep a lid on that but if the f/o goes down that road, I’ll play as my feelings are numb from years of marriage.

This isn't a new thing. Maybe guys are finally just tired of it. Election 2016 was exhausting.

How bad do you have to be, btw, for multiple people to call out mid trip? I'm squarely in the minority on a lot of things and I've never had anyone call out or known anyone to call out.

No it didn’t. It was just one side doing most of the talking before that.

I was here well before EB’s promotion and heard endless political nonsense then, too.

Many of these topics are of no interest to the next generation being hired now.

When I was a youngin.....no one knew of any congressmen except maybe their own. The name of Vice president on down was often used in trivia questions. I had no idea what Van Halen or Axel Rose's opinion on abortion was. I never heard of checking on someones pronouns.

I sorta feel sorry for some of the youth today, very stressful, confusing time to be growing up and not knowing a proper role or way to a happy, fulfilling life.
