I helped a guy (he happened to be a Delta pilot) build a KitFox back in the 90's. It was a really neat plane and very well built. My buddy chose that kit for the ability to fold the wings so he could park it in his house garage and tow it to the local grass strip. I'm guessing the kit has changed in the nearly 30 years since but they had a deal where as an A&P with an IA I could sign off stages of his build that he used to show as experience to get his A&P when the build was done. Pretty sweet deal!

Considering an unfinished Zenith 750 kit that has wings and tail complete, great bargain and fills the STOL/off airport mission well, and in a trike. Not fast but go anywhere. For some reason I see a lot of partial built kitfoxes too.

Kitfox
I got my tailwheel in a Kitfox 7S. Super fun airplane to fly. Handles great, nice and light on the controls. Very rudder intensive due to the flaperons. The Rotax is a great engine, smooth running, quiet, and very reliable.
There’s a multi-year waiting list for a reason. They are fantastic airplanes.
