How does an unlimited 23m7 restore seniority?

I don’t know but this deal was sold as restoring seniority because supposedly the Company will give out green slips before going to IA most of the time unless it’s within 8 hours or in the scheduler’s opinion they don’t have to.

I don't understand why this wasn't negotiated in the PWA. It was a massive leverage point for us and we squandered it only to agree to this a few months later. I'm glad we got it changed although I was in favor of bigger batch sizes, not unlimited.

Lake Powell or Lake Havasu?
What is the zoning?
How many feet of beachfront do you own?
SIze of the parcel?
Is it entitled for a dock and boat house?
What utilities are available at the property?

Its about 1/3 of a lot surrounding an overflow basin in Gilbert. I got the other 2/3s but couldn’t afford all the way around. Good deal though, and the water really sparkles 4 days out of the year.

1. Those cutting side deals with scheduling or volunteering for reroutes

2. Those upset they won’t get paid as the “affected pilot” due to 23M7

This is based off of conversations I’ve had with some fellow pilots in the Van.

Fire away.

Fire away.

Im neither of these and I fully disagree with unlimited batch sizes. I get calls that either I’ll never get (batch size 200 anyone?) or by the time they get through all the auto accept people that then don’t take the trip I can’t make the commute even if I wanted it. Severe QOL detractor, and I’m not even a guy who takes a lot of GS.

So the fact is it is not the company's fault, rather the pilot's fault for doing the auto accept, especially those who intend on never taking them and making it a game? I hear ya and hate being woken up when I don't want to be, so I put in parameters to dont call me if I know I dont wanna chance getting called... We keep the bafoonery up, I bet auto accept and it being a proffer gets nixed next.... we are our own worst enemy's at the games we play.

I never said that. Or fault the pilots who do it that way. Just because I don’t like it it’s part of the contract. My point was that because of extremely large batch sizes, and the 10 auto accepts in front of me that just ignore it, by the time it gets to me I’ve been waiting to see for hours and possibly unable to commute. So severe QOL detractor if you are not at the very top of those unlimited batches.

And I put my phone on DND when I don’t want to be called. And the unlimited middle of the night batch sizes have caused missing quite a few things I could have done. No reason to mass blast at 3am for a trip reporting at 1600. Call me at 7am, and I’ll do it…..

higney85 07-08-2023 09:50 AM

I’m not doing a GS anymore. Simple. At 25% in category the phone calls were too much at 2am. I’d sleep through them, thinking when I went to bed, “ok, nothing I’ll make at this point” . Phone would buzz, wife would wake up… hear about it when the kids got up, and I had to get up since DL woke her up…. and it was numerous trips that had been eyeballed and waiting for the day prior. With the auto accept and delays I’m just not playing anymore. I’ll bid the trips I want, get most of ‘em (bid 5-days Tuesday with a RE into sat)- senior guys don’t bid for those, and enjoy my week off each month at 85+. Wife was elated to hear I wasn’t leaving a slip in. When ARCOS first started I did a blanket and got a lot of BS violations. That made it ok. Then scheduling figured things out so I put in slips for the full days I was wanting. Would see a trip sitting all day, the call would come at 3am…nope. Sometimes it would hit mid day (day prior) and I could make it, accept, do it. The days of BS violations, and now filling the trips, is seemingly worse. Y’all have at it in 320B. I’ll fly my line and bid accordingly, while awaiting the next AE bid.
