Has anyone figured out how to get their financial management software to track this balance? Somehow Empower picked up on the fact it exists, but shows a 0 balance.

My Empower (personal capital) picked it up as well... even though I opted out 🤔

I'm sure you know this, but the MBCBP isn't a 60/40 allocation. It's a 40/60 allocation.

Correct. The MBCBP is 40/60. The interesting portion of the linked article was the discussion about bond allocation hurting the retruns. The article showed how the 40% bond allocation in the 60/40 didn't save the portfolio, in fact the rapid rise in interest rates crushed the bond portion. The MBCBP 60% bond exposure would have likely suffered a similar fate.

It was a particularly bad year. But it also was a result of a correction to a pent up historical abnormality (near free money).

You have a source for this? Where is the money actually located?

Contract lays it out. Section 26.S.7. Notepad 23-18 breaks down the rest.

Money is in a collective investment trust. No actual retail fund. Company self manages the assets as they do with the remaining frozen DB plans.

From the FAQ on Fidelity’s site:

What is the investment portfolio for the MBCBP? How are the funds held?

The investment strategy for the MBCBP will target an allocation of 40% to global public equity markets in a manner similar to the MSCI All Country World Index, and 60% to U.S. intermediate bonds in a manner similar to the Bloomberg US Aggregate Bond Index. The MBCBP assets will be invested in a Collective Investment Trust (“CIT”), which is a pooled retirement investment vehicle only available to a qualified retirement plan that offers benefits not available via a traditional mutual fund.

Blackrock. Did you forget they leaked that back during negotiations, they tried to say that's not what they meant?
