white slip limits

having a senior moment...

putting in a blanket white slip for Jan 14-15.. will this award trips that report Jan 14/15 but touch Jan 16th? I thought the grid used to say REPORTING days and not flying days (which it now says flying days).

If it won't put me eligible for the trip, and I expand that blanket white slip to say Jan 14-20.. for example.. how do I limit it so I don't get just any random trip on January 17-20th that essentially becomes awarded in a PCS run?

I know I'm missing something obvious but cant figure out what it is even looking at the SRH

thanks!

It’s asking what days you want to report. Think of it that way. If you put it in now for 14/15/16, those will be proffers since they are within 2 days. If you extended that to the 20th, you’ll open yourself to whatever’s in open time that your schedule will allow through a report on the 20th.

You can edit rotation length and parameters on the last page before you hit save. For instance, if you’d take a trip reporting tomorrow but it has to end by the 17th, you could set the rotation parameter as “rotation length between 2 and 2 days”. That will only proffer you a 2 day trip starting tomorrow, as an example.

Anything Reporting after the 16th will not be a proffer. You’ll have to wait until you get within 2 days.

It's flying days for the award, so the date range is the max footprint of the rotation.

it's actually asking "Enter All Flying Days For Award", not report date.

Was this a change? I could have sworn it used to say REPORT days for the [lowercase] white slip template and FLYING days only for the green slip template.

Or was this a different window altogether?

You're probably getting the WS/GS template mixed up with the Swapboard (easy to do, I might add). As correctly mentioned earlier, the WS/GS template of "flying days" means the footprint of a possible trip. However, the Swapboard specifically has a menu of "Report Date Range."

Part of the pilot harrassment program I believe!

Keep in mind a blanket white slip can be extensively tailored to insure you don't get junk.
