Soaring Through The Skys!
27 year old ER CA writes a book about all the challenges he has faced. I’m going through upgrade in a few months, maybe I should write muh book too?!??
I'm ordering 200 for the crew room! https://www.amazon.com/Soaring-Throu...s%2C107&sr=8-1 |
Cool, maybe that book will inspire some of the next generation to become a pilot.

I hear a lot of same BS from the usual crowd about "diversity hires" and the quality of our new pilots. Well here you have it, diversity done right. Dude is just trying to be a role model to young black kids and trying to get more people interested in this profession. Now, if you fly with him and he happens to be a douche then ok, roast him as an individual On the book, I willing to bet none of us have read it. We don't know if he takes credit for every aspect of his success. If he's humble enough to acknowledge forces outside our individual control or the influence of other people in our success. So, holding off on judging the book. |
Oh, look who's back. The 9E pilot who pretends he works at Delta for trolling purposes. Overqualified 52's second account.
Suuuure you're upgrading next month. Based on when you previously claimed you flowed, your story doesn't check out. Nobody from that seniority level has upgraded in a long time. This is nothing but weak trolling. If you want to stir the pot with the DEI hiring thing, you could at least be more direct about it. Try to make it entertaining at least. Do better. |
I'll reserve judgement, but that being said, to go from only being able to fly 121 ops for 6 years and be a widebody Captain at Delta before 30 is phenomenal. Hopefully his book is one of fun an I aspiration and not one of long duration struggle, especially when one considers the generation that went through 9-11, furloughs, bankruptcy, stuck in right seat for over a decade, oh and don't forget being stuck in a maddog (couldn't resist), not to mention lost pensions, lost wages, sent back to regional etc. I've flown for over 40 years and I've met some incredible pilots, with incredible backgrounds and stories to tell. Hopefully his will be a good one, minimizing the struggle, but embracing the journey.

Sadly, you own book career is likely on hold until you learn how to spell “skies”

Explain? I poured my heart and soul into this place. I can’t even get an interview OTS despite being a LCP, ex chief pilot, various volunteer roles. think delta is a disgusting place and would rather work anywhere else.

I'm ordering 200 for the crew room! Can you imagine being a grown adult and so insecure that you knock a book youve never read? it’s amazing how people can so confidently judge others when they haven’t walked in said shoes, whilst simultaneously crying to the world how people should empathize with their own situation. you sir, live up to your name |
