Why is 7ER FO so junior?

It’s the worst. Don’t bid it!
In reality, it’s a great fleet. It’s not really more junior than the other fleets. Some more newer hires have been placed in it, making it appear “more junior”. However, your seniority will definitely increase more in the other NB fleets. For instance, I would be 20% in the 737/ 25% in the 320/ and 40% in the 7ER right now.
On the CA side, the junior pilots were a fluke. It was just a perfect storm of hiring, movement, timing. I upgraded two years ago into the fleet and exactly ZERO people have since upgraded junior to me. I expected that. Not complaining.
The trips are pretty good (getting a little worse, but still good).

The plane will likely get milked along for a while, but I just wouldn't expect a huge amount of movement up the category. If I were a newhire today, I don't think I'd jump on it even if we had it in my base. Having flown it, I don't get the fanboy nature around it. An airliner is an airliner, I'd rather go somewhere where I thought I'd get more seniority faster.

Yes.
I would bid it if you live in base, don’t mind sitting reserve, and have always dreamed about flying the airplane. I’m a fanboy. I love it. I have zero desire fly the 737, and have 2000 hours in the 320/321.

You obviously don’t care about cockpit comfort if you aren’t going back to the AB. A Boeing is just a Boeing after cockpit comfort. Maybe you can go higher in a 75 but ask your skin doctor if that is worth it. At least in a 73 you get a working VNAV and a proper radar. The only reason to go to the 75 is if you are disregarding cockpit comfort and think you will get better trips.

it’s subjective. Like everything. Yeah, the airbus cockpit is more comfortable. So? I happen to like flying the 757 more.
I fly less than 300 hours a year. And none of that at flight level 410. I couldnt care less which one can go higher when the difference is 2000 feet.. Man, some of you guys get worked up over this.

This isn’t a (blank) measuring contest. Jesus.

Good schedule and nice trips on both fleets with a little bidding horsepower.
Wont get me back on the 737 given any other choice. That cockpit objectively sucks.
