MSP long layover.
 

Had one a couple days ago, first in a few years. The area is seriously sketchy. Reminds me of BWI before we made the move to Annapolis. It took 2 crew members getting seriously injured in attacks to effect that change.
We left downtown CLT when it deteriorated.
There’s gotta be a better area outside of the inner city in MSP with the amenities we need.
I did FCR it, FWIW.

Man, we work with some serious racists. Disappointing.

I used to live there, I still like the layover. Some really good food walking distance but I’d be fine with a hotel 1/2 mile or mile in another direction.

Lots of Somalians in the MSP area. An observation of that fact isn't racist.

By that logic, calling it "Chinatown" is racist because that's where the Chinese hang out.

Stating a fact isn't racist. But everything has to be divisive when you're a social justice keyboard warrior.

"Chinatown" - Great! Let's get some authentic Chinese food and some kitschy gold plastic cats that wave one arm! (Also a good movie, but "Big Trouble in Little China" was more fun)

"Little Italy" - Fantastic! Authentic Italian foods with Peroni and cured meats! Mamma Mia!

"Little Mogadishu" - OMG that so racist!

Classic, the "I saw that thing on the news crowd" and "too many of those people" types scared of a little diversity and not being close enough to an Irish pub.

I didn't see it on the news. I've seen it with my own eyes. Airport...layover...restaurants. It is indeed a small piece of Mogadishu.

They literally have a congressional representative from Mogadishu. This isn't some crazy racist fox news stereotype. It's just a fact.
