We have almost 15 mainline planes with Starlink currently flying. Install only takes a few days and right now we are running multiple lines to get it done as quickly as possible. The entire 737-800 fleet will be finished in Q4 this year and about 90% of the fleet will be done by next year.

Gotta spew hopium when most people her are as miserable as you. Many years late to the game and supposedly 15 aircraft with Starlink. Doesn’t change the reality of ViaSat’s progress and Delta’s first to market advantage as I’ve explained. Another Delta win.. you’re biggest nightmare :D

How is the new Viasat as far as reliability? Delta’s prior system worked about 60% of the time internationally plus had an inordinate boot up time. I fully concede I scoffed at Musk’s internet concept when I first heard about it. Sure he was going to launch thousands of satellites and provide cheap fast internet world wide!! I thought if he could come even remotely close to that you would be a fool not to buy his stock. I was a fool! Last year I saw the Starlink mini dish for 199.00. Thought what the hell, I will grab one. Took me under 5 minutes to have it up and running at the boat and have had uninterrupted high speed internet anywhere I go for 50 bucks a month. Dish is 12x14” and weighs 1.4Lbs. Reliability is rock solid with dish living in salt spray. I have never even bothered to align or tune it in any way. Boot time is 30 seconds. I have friends now flying business jets and the Starlink system they use all claim 100% reliability. I hope viasat can match that. One other thing to keep in mind. The current Starlink satellite is V2 which was vastly more capable than version 1. V3 is now getting ready for launch. It blows away V2. Comparison with V2 satellites
