They will explain it away as a change in demand or some such. It really doesn't matter because they will always manage the fleet to the expected market conditions regardless of pilot input. Orders cancelled, delayed, option exercises, used aircraft purchases etc. are all part of the game. WE FLY THE JETS THAT SHOW UP ON THE RAMP. When, where and how they appear we have NO control over.

Take our payback days. Fine.
Provide us homeless shelter quality crew meals. Fine.
Make us pay for hotels during an IROP. 6 days later expense report still submitted and pending approval. Fine.
Reroute us and a week and a half later still don’t have RRPY on the schedule and leaving my crew assist case on “in queue.” Fine.
Convert all my PB days to 2027-2028 vacation, and then cancel vacation. Fine.
BUT DO NOT THREATEN THE ORDER BOOK!
