Congrats on your jackpot win being hired under 35 years old and then adding an additional 5 years of top earner status. I'll never see a 30 year pin. And yes, for the record this is sarcasm, and I AM jealous.
ALPA membership supersedes Delta hiring. ALPA actually tracks this. ALPA membership at previous carriers is a thing and pins are distributed on that basis. I believe ALPA generally does well by it's pilots. I didn't understand this in the early years. I'm jealous of the pilots who'll see the 40 year pin, although I'll be long retired and riding on an S3B in the back before I see it. With years of GS/SS/IA pay to boost their retirement earnings. On compound interest. (If my spectacles even work.) |

Ah, well that's where you're wrong. (but thanks for replying)

I'm very glad ALPA does this. It makes the point that despite the best efforts of the RLA, union membership goes beyond just whichever company you work for. You just made me realize I will get a 40 year pin, should my health hold up, so that's cool. I may be newish to this company but I'm not new to this industry.

I guess I thought it was obvious that I was being sarcastic. I agree with you. I don’t really care.
