Really weird question. Any of you guys bring your golf clubs on trips? Not a full set but maybe one of those cases that fit 8-9 clubs that you can carry with you in the cockpit. I know most courses rent clubs but I would like my own set.

You’re not supposed to use KCM with oversized sports equipment like that. You can look at the website for specifics.

Like someone else said. Kcm kind of a deal-breaker.
If I am Gonna try to golf, I just pack gloves, balls, tees in a ziplock and rent clubs

I’ve heard of guys using Delta cargo to ship the clubs. I think we get a 90% discount. Don’t know what happens when you get rerouted.

TSA specifically prohibits golf clubs as carryon luggage so if the KCM agent is paying attention, you'll get stopped and told to go check your clubs. Happened to me once when I bought a great new Driver on a trip (even had it in a box) and had to scramble at the last minute when KCM refused to let me bring it with me.

I think the real issue here is that if you have a layover long enough to play golf, you’re probably going to get a reroute anyway...

I avoid the hassle with KCM and such and just stop by a pawn shop on the way to the course. I buy a baseball bat, rake, shovel and hoe.. Way cheaper than clubs. Sometimes I just borrow those from the grounds keeper and avoid incurring any costs....they usually don't have the baseball bat so I have to play with a handicap of being a "club" short.
After a few beers...doesn't really matter. It worked for Roy McEvoy in Tin Cup...it can work for you too.
