After seeing the distrust now in our government and CDC I'm not so sure the next disease is going to be reacted to the same way. I mean look st Christmas. Cases were out of control, worse than they ever were and people did not care, in fact travelled more than ever during the entire pandemic up until 2021. I don't see why the next flu or disease everyone is going to panic with their hair on fire. At least not the same people who lived through the COVID-19 mess. I could be wrong...

Just seems like a poor attitude, woe is me I made the wrong choice, this is terrible let's go rain on everyone life. DOOM.

Man its been a while since I've read those posts. Lots of people in this world would kill for our positions. Do you think they tell their co-workers how they made a terrible choice and everyone is going to lose their job soon at the next event? I mean seriously...

Last month I was on a DTW-AMS leg on a reserve GS. It was scheduled as a 3 man crew but scheduled time was 7:51 (actual time was less). Long story short, we ended up flying the leg with just 2 of us. Am I due any extra pay for this? Was just told by another pilot that I was.....if it was originally built as a 3 man crew, which it was....

Anyone have a contract reference for this?

Thanks

Denny

Yikes. Why on earth would you accept that? FAA has come out saying you can decline the change if your rest for that FDP was based on your expectation to get a break due to augmentation.

Well, DUH....because he was on a green slip. Decline = NO Pay.

edit ...I feel certain it was safe or else he wouldn't have accepted it

Because it's not unsafe if he was rested and, more importantly, green slip pay!!!

I commuted in on all-nighter and paid for a day room at the Westin. I was good to go. Gave my FO the choice and he agreed to go.

Yes I could have declined it no questions asked but, for a few reasons not the least of which BR alluded to, I flew it.

But this has nothing to do with the question....

my apologies, wasn't trying to imply you weren't safe. I have just found people were not aware of that interpretation.

Seems like it was scheduled with two F/Os, so there should be another F/O paid for the green slip they should have issued but did not?
