What you are missing is that those E periods were already being fully used, by 200ish New Hires/month not protected by the PWA time limits. Now, instead of E’s always being FO/FO, they can pair up those two with the CA/CA pairing from the D period instead. There is no throughput gain, just smarter use of what we are already using.

Additionally, I was skeptical as well about the “self study”. However, every SLI I talked with loves the shorter brief. We all show up prepared anyway. The guy/gal who doesn’t is a rare unicorn - or so I’m told. So it’s happening anyways. Having said that, I still think we should get a quid from the company for it

You really think they would make a 1 minute "oops" that benefits pilot pay? Set your watch for the post brief.

LOL, right. Check out the 7ER crew planning news in the dec bid packet. "...December bid package max sit time is 4:59."

Well the joke is on them!

PWA says you only get hotel for greater than 5 hours....looks like scheduling left 1 minute on the table for every sit.....suckers!!!!

Default Green slip reroute pay

I don’t find myself in this situation often enough to understand the provisions of the PWA when it comes to GS reroute pay. When you see it on your time card do you simply add it to the CREDIT APPLICABLE TO REG G/S SLIP PAY value and G/SLIP PAY value to determine your total month credit?

Default Is Delta hiring?

I'm a Canadian Airbus Captain and I'd love to relocate my family to the USA and eventually renounce my citizenship and become and American. Any information on this?
