Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
Not to throw a wrench in your statement, however there was training involved. Everyone in category went out and got bounces in an actual 767. I would say that would be considered training and more expensive than the two day international procedures course taught at the headshed.
As for the 7ER's given it would be any 767 that currently shows up in your bid package. You had zero before the merger.
It doesn't matter anyway since this is the way the company and ALPA is going forward with this transition.

This^
And This^^
And as I said, this is not an argument worth persuing any further.
1. Change the oil and put new plugs in my snowmobiles.
2. Put up tree stands & cameras for deer season.
3. Split & Stack wood for winter.
4. Wax x-country skis.
5. Mount snow tires on spare rims.
Best of all if I get all my chores done, I can play on my days off. I perfer the DAL reserve system to the old NWA system. I get way more done.

JABDIP, it's not so bad, you just need to find things to do with your free time. (Long Call Reserve) Lets see, here is my to do list:
1. Change the oil and put new plugs in my snowmobiles.
2. Put up tree stands & cameras for deer season.
3. Split & Stack wood for winter.
4. Wax x-country skis.
5. Mount snow tires on spare rims.

I agree. I actually like LC reserve. On SC I do not do things like Power Wash the house, wash the car, cut the grass, etc. I do chores that require less sweat like cleaning, dry cleaning, etc. I just drive around with all of my stuff in my car. I never go grocery shopping on SC because that is a sure fire way to get a short call out. Other than that, it is the same, but only if you live in base.
That is why, for the commuters I do not mind getting a some sort of credit for SC so that they (commuters) can bid away from it(on a daily basis). It is all the same to me.
As for the bounces in the actual aircraft that was DAL's decision, and the cost associated with that decision have no bearing on what constitutes an ER. While fNWA had no 767 aircraft the pilots there had been doing ER type flying.

You would think that in CVG, where our category was eliminated and shipped off to DTW and SEA, that we would doing the majority of complaining. We have been doing and would be glad to continue doing the lowly domestic flying rather than commute. I guess you can never please some people. Change happens, some people deal with it better than others.

The reference was to Delta's 80 year history, we might as well start from scratch and come up with something that's modern and efficient in lieu of something you would expect back in the 70's (40 years later) when everything was done by hand. This AE system is a "one of a kind." I would be very interested to see the demographics of the guys that created and molded this system into a contract
