It is necessary to let our union know that these concessions are over. Fact is that DCI and the 76 seat flying will grow. We voted for it!

**** Travel for some itineraries may be provided by Delta Connection/Northwest Airlink carriers: Compass, Mesaba, Comair, Chautauqua, Pinnacle, ASA, Shuttle America and SkyWest.

Heyas ACL,

We might be going around this the wrong way.

Maybe the way to go is a PR campain to educate the public/politicos on the true nature of codeshares...sort of a "is your Delta flight really Delta?". If "truth in advertising" was tightened up, it could work to our advantage.

Outstanding - would love to ditch the hat. Same issue with the shoes...."must be black leather lace type".....needs to change....but until the FOM changes or the checks stop cashing.......

I really don't think any of our reps care about this issue. What we need to do is band together as the junior guys and recall our reps. Then we need to elect reps that will make scope their top priority and stop this trend. This is NOT a priority for our current reps, trust me.

This is very true. The responses I've gotten are warm, but it doesn't appear that it's too much of a concern.

Maybe, but the how well has that worked for UAUA and AMR. Fact is that no matter how much we educate the public, they think that we work 10 days a month and 75 hrs. Before you educate them on something as complicated as a code share you need to spend years and years on the realities of this industry. It is better to just fight to company on this. They are educated to the woes of the connection feed. I am sure that if we had a backbone we might actually see results. Enough of this crud of if you want that what are you willing to give up. I do not know how we got to that thinking. There was more money this time around, but we are scared that it will get taken off the table.

I think a major part of the problem is that this subject, although a very hot topic here, isn't gaining traction with the masses.

Maybe each of us needs to personally call every single person/colleague we know and talk openly about this topic. Get them doing the same and everyone of us needs to continue/start writing our REP's. Talk to your CA's as well on your next and future rotations. This is how I believe we start to gain traction.
