Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?

I did get one response to my question about LOA 2006-10. My rep told me that the negotiators said we still have preferential hiring at DCI carriers and a flow-thru with Compass. He had no clue what this LOA was about, and it appears the negotiators didn't have a clue either or have been given orders to play stupid on the issue. It wouldn't surprise me to see this LOA disappear from the JCBA or be given away for something like 1/2 priced internet at hotels that won't give it to us for free. It is very obvious to me that the MEC doesn't give a crap about the 76-seat issue and this LOA.

Word on the street is that management came up to Anchorage and let the folks up there know that the base will be finito in DEC.

I'm finally (it took a few very long emails back and forth) getting a positive response. Don't give up, and keep writing until you get a positive response from the REP's out there. Once that happens, let it cool off a little and then start it back up. No one should be getting "spammed" off of a REP's email list, so keep em going. Call as well, and get out there to the next LEC meetings.
Leave Moak out of this. He really does have other ******* to worry about right now and isn't going to listen to you. Get it to the LEC REP's and let them do their job. In time, we'll get some feedback as to how it's going, but keep it up!

Hey acl65pilot... The market is heading near to 9-11 levels, the reccesion looks to be setting in for the long term, and now the company has proven it can basically get as many 70-76 seat RJs it wants. So what you hearing on the inside? Furloughs for Oct?

Heyas,
I would just like to repeat what Slow said: The MEC Chairman, as well as the other MEC officers, serve at the pleasure of the MEC, made up of your representatives. The MEC Officer's job is to execute the directives of the MEC.
Talking to the MEC Chairman accomplishes nothing. Rather, there needs to be STRONG dialog with the LEC reps, who provide direction to the MEC officers. If your rep isn't giving you the answers you want on critical, career changing issues, then talk to the reps that do, and fire up the election process, and get someone in there that DOES understand the issues.
