XRay - your sources are probably better than mine. I'm repeating comments heard at the Wednesday ATL Lounge Brief and LEC44 meeting.

The best way to prepare for the revised test is to understand the concepts, terms and procedures from which the answers can be derived.

To assist in preparing for the Job Knowledge Test, Delta Pilot Selection has published a study guide in PDF format which may be accessed through Airlineapps.com. A link to this guide is published below.

I can verify that it is true that the test is being changed. I can also verify that if you study the old gauge and know your way to find the answers you have an extremely good chance of passing. The test bank is being increased and will go into effect from January. Like I said before - prepare for the worst! Know the formulas and your basic aviation procedures. DAL is not out to get you, they just found that some people passed the test with 100% in less than a minute (or two...) and that the test might not be an effective means of figuring ones knowledge. This only refers to the technical knowledge test, the rest will continue like it was before, making the old gauge very useful in your preparation for a sucessful outcome.

For those interested, Delta won't be attending the next two AirInc job fairs. Delta is putting together a few job fairs for 08 but they won't be with AirInc, too expensive for candidates to get some face time.

So answer the questions and then double-check them and then take a water break and check them a third time. THEN submit. Sheesh, it sounds like a few ruined it for the rest.

Yep, agreed. If you think you're so smart, just pretend you have to recheck and recheck. Just remember, you don't want to stand out in an interview, you just wanna be one of the average joes, but just a tad bit better than the rest.

Just like when you're doing the vision test for your medical, you don't just blurt out the alphabets, right??? At least pretend you gotta look at the darn chart!

What is wrong with studying and passing a test? That is how I've passed every checkride - not with hmm's and aww's, but with concise, direct, memorized answers.

Although I like the class Delta shows by providing a sheet with subjects to be covered. The gouge had many errors in it, which was confusing. By the time most of us found the errors and fixed them, we were prepared.

Seems like most people are having problems with the interview - not the test.

I didn't realize Leo was dating Tim Reed. I kid, I kid, it's me kidding. If Moak can lead the effort to get me my money back while helping Delta stay healthy I might have to ask him out myself.

Anyone know what interview dates are being called for class dates. I interviewed before Thanksgiving, got the cleared to train letter two weeks later and am still waiting for the call. Was really hoping for a January class but not sure if those are full yet?
