KC10 Fatboy - Welcome aboard. Reading your post took me back to my interview seven years ago. The experience is a vivid today as it was intense back then. You will love it here.

Thanks KC-10 FATboy for that great summary from the 20th!

I was in the 18 Dec interview group and can say that all the info posted was great.
I can add that 7 of 8 were hired from the 17 Dec interviewees.
5 were interviewed on 20 Dec but I don't know their results.

As for the 18th, we had 8 scheduled to interview but one was an unexplained 'no-show.'
We had 5 of the 7 offered conditional employment around 1500L on day one. The 5 offered had experience in the C-17, B-1, MaxJet, GoJet, & ASA...the 2 not passing the 1st day were a B-2 guy and Republic guy. We're not sure what the issues were with them since they gracefully shook everyone's hands and departed after they were called in together for the bad news. The 5 of us remaining were offered the job as a group still in the lobby area. We received our "OK to Train" e-mails on 21 Dec and expect indoc mid to late Feb 08.

It's so great to be in line with Delta!

Ragato:
Thanks for the good summary, congrats on the job. It is nice to see a 5 out of 7. I have seen so many 2 out of 8's, it is a bit disheartening! My interview is in Jan.

groundstop,

Thanks for the good wishes. If we can be of help for your Jan interview, just let us know. I'm in contact with the 5 that made it on the 18th and I'm sure all of us are willing to help where we can.
Good Luck and Happy Holidays!

I have a simple question - can you use a calculator on the technical quiz?

groundstop,
No calculators or own pencils/paper on any of the computerized evals. Tony provides you with a couple of pencils and a sheet of paper and then an unsharpened pencil with big eraser on it for the touch screen portion of the cognitive skills section. I can only assume that the new tech quiz will have the same rules. Good luck with it!

Quick question on future airplane assignments. Any thoughts on what airplane types are being looked at for the February/March timeframe? OBTW, I was the other one to make it past day one with KC10 Fatboy on Dec 20th, just waiting for the Cleared to Train email.

Congrats and welcome. As for types for initial assignment I think we are all just guessing at this time since there is a new AE comming up and you guys will fill in as needed, just like we did. If you want NYC, my guess is that you can hold it very quickly on the 756 / md88. Regardless of type and base - ANY type / base is a good one here!

For what it is worth, the question i asked during my interview was "what could a new hire expect as far as domicile and airframe?" The answer was "Right now, we are seeing new hires fill spots in all domiciles and airframes."
