In reply to WAGMAN: TO's letter says 32 less 76 seaters. Is this incorrect? His letter makes it sound like the scope is better. Is it false? P.S. 50 seaters were so inefficient, they were going away anyway. Why should TO make it sound like its a plus for us?

Wow. Just read the TA, and other than a 10 cent per diem improvement, a few hours of vacation and about a buck more for international override, there is really nothing there. We are supposed to be excited about COLA raises, MINUS profit sharing reductions, MAJOR SCOPE CONCESSIONS again, and WE ARE SUPPOSED TO PAY for the new 100 seater????

My Friends, this will be the easiest vote I've ever cast. Sure, the time value of money is something to be considered, but what about RETRO PAY? I'm wiling to do the tough slogging if it means we actually end up with a decent contract... and guess what? You'll get a retro check for your patience.

My question is what about the contract survey? Did DALPA not bother to read it? Because it sure looks like there is nothing in this contract that even comes close to what I've been looking for.

And as for the pathetic, pandering letter from our Chairman-- that's about all I needed to know concerning who is and who is not representing my interests going forward.

If the 223 number was the hardcap for all 70+ aircraft, I could almost follow their logic.

But if it's 223 76 seaters PLUS 100 70 seaters, then no F'IN way.

Hard cap of 255 76 seaters is decreased to 223. However, this doesn't take the 70 seaters into account, which the current 255 cap does. Thus, the total number of 51-76 seaters goes up by some 70 airframes. Smoke and mirrors!

I disagree that this early opener was an "opportunity" for anyone other than management. If anything, this TA represents an OPPORTUNITY LOST for restoration of pay and benefits to levels that even begin to resemble a career at SWA, FedEX or UPS.

Comair- 100- 50 seat jets

I can just speak for Comair and today we only have about 20 50 seaters left on property and we will only have 16 by the end of August. The wipeout for us started already in the fall of 2010

OK, I’m glad you guys are on top of this, but I’m still in my normal confused state. Ha I’m still trying to figure out the IRS tax code changes. LOL I think for several years the crooked line in the sand standard has been based on the 76 seater. What I’m hearing here is that an increase in 70 seaters is a No-Go issue. Where do you guys draw the line regarding seat count? I’m not sure I would disagree, but I’d like to hear an opposing view. I would actually like to see ALL aircraft in our system flown by DAL pilots, but it seems like an unrealistic idea.

Thank you, that is what I was saying. The 50 seaters are gone anyway so why should this be something good. BTW: My hope is that U guys will be incorporated into DAL mainline so we have one airline instead of a "them against us" scenario.
