Pretty wild we now have more people below us at Delta than we ever had at Compass. Of course our seniority is lower at Delta than it ever was at Compass too so...

Did anyone bring in a resume with them to their interview? Thinking it is a great way to include some volunteer work and outside interests.

And the airplanes you are flying now are...? compared to Com Air.

And the pay rates you are getting now are...? compared to Com Air.

Thank the Com Air MEC for you having to wait 20 years...

I had a resume but nobody asked for one, and all the paperwork they collected at the beginning of the day they handed back at the end of the day. The only thing they kept was the copy of the application that I signed.

I think the venue to mention volunteer work and outside interests is when they start off with, "tell us about your career since high school," or however it's worded. You can work those things in along the way no problem.

Agreed…I'd have one with you, but you likely won't need it. I had a few other things that I pulled out of my folder when certain questions came up. I have written a few articles in technical journals, had a couple pretty cool letters for things I had done, etc. When I mentioned them, I would pull out the applicable thing and the guys would pass it around and ask me questions about it. It killed time that they could ask other questions, and gave me a chance to answer questions that I was in control of. If you have stuff like that, bring it and try to get it on the table!

Good luck!

Forgive me but Im not sure what you are referring to here. I worked at Comair for a short time but Im not sure how you would know that. The 757 is much nicer than the CRJ and I make way more as an FO at Delta than I did at Comair. I dont know what the Comair MEC has to do with anything. I was 15 years old twenty years ago.

Bohicagain and I were senior at Compass which is a very small company. We both have more people below us at Delta than we ever did at Compass yet are still more junior than we ever were at Compass. My comment was just an observation of the difference between tiny companies and giant companies.

I'm guessing there was a miscommunication somewhere. I'm actually curious to see what it was.

Just tell them you were a Coastie ... and no Germans, Koreans, Viet Kong or Iraqi's have ever put a boot on US soil, so obviously your branch fulfilled it's mission.

That shuts 'em up.
