Herk.....when that agreement became known I ended up sitting next to the lax fo rep on the flight back to lax..

Im just a stupid line pilot but the end result of such a moronic agreement was clear. I think Tim swiped what I always say...the company plays chess....while our NC has the checkerboard out.

I asked HB, "Do you have any idea of what you have done?....
-you have appealed to the absolute worst instinct in the pilot group...greed....

-with the sell back staffing requirements will be reduced....and we will probably furlough......

-You have created a pension spiking scheme that will hasten the demise of the trust.....

-you have handed the company a historical database of how much vacation pilots actually 'use'......and that record will be used against us at a future date to reduce the amount of vacation we get..

-AND YOU DIDNT EVEN MAKE A DAY OF VACATION WORTH WHAT A DAY AT WORK IS WORTH!!

His only answer was to the last point...."Well if we had asked for the daily min for the vacation sell back the company wouldn't have gone for it"...

Ummm....that should be the first clue it was a bad idea.
