Delta TA ultimatum. from ALPA? REALLY?
Well I didn't have to wait long for the ultimatum. Unfortunately it is coming from our ownALPA leaders.
"The idea that we can simply resume negotiations...go back to the table and pick up where we left off is a fallacy. It simply won’t happen. It bears repeating, gentlemen: It simply won’t happen."
"Mike Donatelli" Or did I mis attribute that quote? Sounds like something Richard Anderson would say.
Look out ALPA, a full recall if this is voted down as you as our leaders have given up. Your only hope is to sell this hard.
Hello DPA.

If the Delta pilots vote no, that means more aircraft will go to mainline. Voting this in allows an increase in the larger RJ's, at a time when the regional airlines are struggling to staff. Those 25 CRJ-200's they want to park, are getting parked regardless. More will be parked if the Delta pilots vote no, since they will have less 70 aircraft to replace them with. This just allows them to add more 70 seat jets at the regionals.
25 more 70 seat aircraft equals roughly 10-15 less 100 seat jets at mainline.

Hello DPA.
Management's hair is on fire to reduce profit sharing for all employees yet again.
There is only one path to attain that and we hold the key.
THEY WILL NEVER WALK AWAY.
They have to have a deal.
Can you believe these idiots said they wouldn't rush and finished on the exact day Richard wanted again.

Not true. RJ flying is reduced by 5.6% in airframes and 2% in available seats. UAL scope permits 450 RJ's and AAL allows 682. It would be yet another ratcheting down of scope.
The "25 76 seaters" is contingent upon adding 2 mainline 100 seaters, and parking 2 other RJs. The shift of flying and block hours to mainline would be increased yet again from a current ratio of 1.35:1 to 1.81:1. It's a net benefit to mainline pilots.

DCI was always going to 425 aircraft or less.
All this TA does is allow more of the 425 outsourced jets to be 70 seat aircraft, which means less 100 seat jets at mainline.
Delta can always add 100 seat jets at mainline.

If this makes it past the MEC then you guys need to mobilize yourselves and start a "vote NO" campaign. Think bag tags, buttons etc.
It's time for the first ever rejected tentative agreement by Delta pilots. With $6 billion in forecast profits this year i'm insulted for you guys...
