Do American pilots received deferred compensation in the form of a defined benefit/contribution? In other words, are there senior pilots going to receive a legitimate retirement benefit? Mine is from the PBGC and a fraction of what the defined benefit would have been.

Yes of course they do, but in no roadshow material was that annuitized to compare to us. We only got the spin version pay-wise of apples to bananas.

Unless you are already retired, counting on the PBGC in the future might be a little optimistic.

WB Captain at United is currently $263 for 747/777/787/767-400 so how is 717 being paid $238 more?

Please explain?

Not that long ago pre-merger DL had what, like over 10,000 pilots? How many did NWA have? Yes a few at each were FE's but we have become fanacticaly more "productive" since then.

That's fine. You don't have to post them. My point was that we aren't nearly as far above American rates as we are above United.

For me, with all of the concessions, 3.5% above American is nowhere near enough. Not even close.

I think it's pretty funny that a United guy would assail our T/A. Remember, they wanted Delta + a dollar. Way to raise the bar, guys, way to raise the bar. I have friends and family over there, they can't believe we would complain about our work rules. Maybe the next time around they'll demand Delta plus a dollar. Because -you know- they are so successful!

Well, it's certainly turning out to be "historic."

So instead this time we are worsening our work rules to be more on par or worse than theirs. That's the way to do it, DALPA!
