C44 Elections

Our MEC Chairman has used the word "restoration." If that word is also in your vocabulary, please consider Scott Martin as a write-in candidate for captain rep.

DeRosa, Johnson, and Kern will obviously be on the ballot already.

We can do this!

A write-in candidacy will be an uphill battle.
To be successful it will require an enormous communication effort.
Most pilots are not regulars on social media or the forums and will not even be aware of it.

Key to the whole enterprise --
Does a candidate who was not nominated have access to ALPA's e-mail system?

El Senor Clown 09-30-2015 06:23 PM

Write-in? Ha!!! Seriously? Oh that's a good one. Clown.

El Senor Clown 09-30-2015 06:24 PM

My vote is for John. Even if the SPC doesn't want me.

Amazing that we nominated a candidate who's whole campaign was trying to resell a TA that already failed.

Just for clarification that would be?

Is the electronic balloting open yet, I haven't seen anything from C44 about it yet? And if not, any idea when it will begin?

We need this to be a lanyard

Purple Drank 10-01-2015 05:02 PM

3+1

We MUST get the word out. If we can get these 4 in, it will break the Moakist regime for good.

buckleyboy 10-03-2015 03:24 AM

Read on the Facebook that we'll need Martin's ALPA number for the write-in to be valid. Can anyone conform this?

LivingTheDream 10-04-2015 05:36 AM

Correct.

The ticket should read:

Sam DeRosa
Scott Martin 0961094 (write-in)
Jimmy Johnson
Chris Kern

This IS our only hope for true change and RESTORATION.

Oh, I don't doubt for a second it is going to be a hard uphill battle.

To your first point, the attachment can help. Print it, trim it, and leave it on the yoke clip so the next gal or guy will have something on which to write her or his flight number, taxi clearance, ATIS identifier, grocery list, etc.

To your second, I am not sure. However, I do recall three people who were not running sent out an endorsement email for DeRosa. So I would venture a guess and say maybe. ;)

Thanks for doing that BB! I just printed out two pages worth for my next couple trips.

Why are we writing in candidates? Wouldn't it have been easier to have just nominated him in the first place?

My "Top Men" source has said October 12th.

And to hockeypilot...I know, right? Obviously there were too many candidates. And by "obviously," I mean Nestor and O'Mahoney were the top 2 FO rep nominees because the vote for change was split. DeRosa getting most nods for captain rep is very promising, though. It is not going to be easy, but we can do this!

There were like a hundred candidates talking about restoration and only three that were old school Moak guys. Because of that the vote got split amongst the 100 restoration candidates. Any one who liked the TA voted for the other three so they won pretty easy. That is my theory at least. We will find out soon how this plays out.
