Good info appreciate it. DC Pro-X is leading contender for sure.

Why not just buy another Clarity Aloft? Best headset out there right now as long as you don't mind the earplugs which obviously you don't if you've been using them for 11 years.

And there is the fault with the whole concept of the ufly on the mad dog. My left ear stays open, while the right one is covered. I Don't feel the need to get a new headset as all the captains I've flown with do the same thing I do with Varying headsets. It works for me.

Do most people on the 88 even wear the headset in cruise? I've heard it's quiet, just wondering how quiet...

A bit of an older thread, but still relevant. I just had to return a Clarity Aloft Pro Plus because the mic didn't work. I tried it on two different mad dogs with no luck. Clarity Aloft tech support said to return it, as they don't work with MD's. Thing is I bought it because I flew with someone who was using a Clarity Aloft who loved theirs. Maybe they had an older version with a different mic?

I use the Clarity Aloft Pro on maddog and have had it for 2 years with no issues. Love the headset and I’ve tried them all. Highly recommend. It’s the closest thing to not wearing a headset at all and protects both ears.

Do you have the Pro, or the Pro Plus? I didn't see the old Pro for sale anywhere, just the Pro Plus. Maybe they changed the mic on the newer version?

Someone explain to me why the one-ear thing is so widespread here? All of the RJs have hot mikes and everyone knows that you only key the hot mike when you have something to say to the other pilot.

Wait a sec...cud you say that again in my good ear?
