Yes, for many of the same reasons NYC 7ER B is a new hire seat. Nobody wants to sit reserve in NYC and cover multiple airports only to progress to lineholder with trips that are un-commutable on both ends.

NYC 7ER hasn't had a single newhire assigned since last summer. Don't foresee any coming in the near future. As last year's new hires coming off seat lock are bidding off to increase their relative seniority and get on the (GS-able) undermanned and growing NYC categories they're being back filled with more senior guys; and my relative seniority is and will continue moonwalking.

Few GS's this year as reserves are properly manned. This category is not the cash cow it was last year and which the NYC narrow-bodies are this year. First-year 737, 320 and 717 guys are making more money than me.

You can thank the mythical wide body expansion WhatNow and others like him like to talk about. Seems to me if we truly were expanding on the top equipment, we wouldn't have backwards movement when there are no displacements posted on the bids.

The widebodies are only trickling in right now while we park the whales... when the 350s come, things should swing harder the other way.

I got nothing. Kind of depressing how slow movement is. We're adding new hires, but without widebody awards, there's no upward movement. We used to climb the burning rope. Now we're not climbing anymore, but the rope is getting longer.....if you're on the -88 or 717.

Looked like a Jan 14 hire got ATL88A....that seems kind of big.
